Dear Oxford Parents and Students,
Early this morning a vigilant OHS student made our administration aware of a social media post of a concerning video of a former student (2019). The post did not contain any explicit threats, but was immediately turned over to law enforcement. Our school resource officers acted swiftly, investigating the post and visiting the last known address of the poster. Neighbors indicated that the individual who made the post relocated to another state approximately two years ago. Law enforcement confirmed that the individual has an out-of-state driver’s license and have spoken with the individual who is currently not in Michigan. Be assured, there is no threat at Oxford High School. We have a strong law enforcement presence and are looking forward to welcoming our students back this morning. Thank you to the many students and families who quickly brought this post to our attention. Together we are Oxford Strong.
