Dear Oxford DK- 5th Grade Families,
Oxford Community Schools is currently planning for summer learning opportunities. This survey is intended for elementary families and only intended to gauge interest in the community so we can try to make the best plans. Please note that variables such as staffing may impact our ability to offer unlimited availability.
Like the last two summers, we are offering all students/families an ability to purchase the GRASP program for self-paced summer learning at home for a deeply discounted price of $10 each (normally $38) thanks to grant funding. This is a great way for students to review and keep skills fresh during the summer. It works well for students/families who travel quite a bit during the summer because you can just take it with you!
In addition, we hope to run a seated summer school experience again this year. We hope to initiate two summer school registration windows for 1) students who are invited and strongly encouraged to attend based on their academic data and performance and 2) open to anyone interested based on available seats (first come, first serve). We will do everything we can to try to accommodate anyone interested in attending.
Our tentative plans include holding summer school from July 11- August 5 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for four hours each morning. The location and other details are still being planned.
