April 5, Annual School Quality Survey

Dear Oxford Community Schools Staff,

Oxford Community Schools is committed to preparing all students to succeed today and after graduation by providing them with a safe, dynamic learning environment. It’s critical that district leaders hear from you as they work to identify additional ways to fulfill this promise. That’s why we’re giving parents, students, and school staff the opportunity to participate in our annual School Quality Survey. This survey asks for feedback about safety, behavior, academic preparation, student support, communication, and family involvement. The results will be collected and reported by individual school and aggregated for the district.  This information will help the district continue to build on its strengths and improve where needed. This year we are accommodating two staffing areas after we heard suggestions for improving this process last year.  One is for support staff.  To ensure confidentiality staff will no longer report details of grade levels or departments or years of service.  The only identifiers will be building name, and whether the person responding is certified staff person or non-certified. Also, we heard from staff that wanted to respond but were not assigned to buildings.  For those district-wide staff who work across the district, we ask that they respond with their district-wide view. They too will identify themselves on the form as district-wide, or non-building specific, and further as certified or non-certified.

The survey will open Monday April 8, and run through Friday April 19. It can be taken on a computer, tablet, or phone. Staff members will receive the survey invite through their district email address. The survey is being administered by an independent research and communications firm K12 Insight. If you have problems with the survey, or if you do not receive it, you can email K12 Insight directly at [email protected] for support. Your responses are strictly confidential, so please answer honestly. There are no right or wrong answers. No one at Oxford Community Schools will be able to see your responses or know what you said, unless you submit self-identifying information in the open-ended questions.

Thank you for participating in this endeavor – your voice is very important to us.
