On Monday, January 15, 2024, we celebrated Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. As you know, we have been running an essay contest for our students. Due to the recent cold days and school being closed, we extended the deadline to submit essays to Monday, January 22, 2024. Please click on the links below to access the prompts.

Essays are to be labeled with the student’s name, grade level and building. All essays should be submitted to the main office of your child’s school. Essays will be judged, and winners announced the week of February 5, 2024.
Additionally, we plan to reconvene the district’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee this spring and we hope that developing a meaningful day for our district in future MLK Jr. Days will be part of their charge.
