September 28, Miller Decision Supports

Dear Oxford Schools Families,

As the Miller Hearing decision is made tomorrow, our district partners at All for Oxford Resiliency Center are providing additional support for anyone in need. Mental health supports from the Resiliency Center along with district mental health professionals will be available at OHS for our high school students and staff. The All for Oxford Resiliency Center will also be open tomorrow, Friday September 29 from 9:00 a.m.-12 p.m. They will have breakfast, a safe place to gather, and trained staff ready to help if needed. The ongoing mental and emotional health of our school community is very important for all of us in our healing journey.

Trauma therapists have let us know it is okay to come up with a plan to surround ourselves with people that will support us in feeling safe and calm.  It is okay to turn off the news or disconnect from media to engage in activities that will allow our nervous systems to feel more relaxed. It is okay to focus on our needs and what we can control.

The services below are also available for anyone who may need them:

Sincerely,

Oxford Community Schools
