Feb. 21, March Parent University Workshops

     

Dear Oxford Schools Community,

Please see the Parent University workshops planned for March below. These workshops are planned to help equip our parents and caregivers with knowledge and tools to help their children thrive.

The Parent University March 2024 workshop opportunities are:

SKILLS FOR EFFECTIVE PARENT ADVOCACY: This workshop is designed for parents and caregivers of children birth-26 years old on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. This workshop will be presented by Michigan Alliance for Families.

 

ACTIVE LEARNING AT HOME FOR PRESCHOOL FAMILIES: This workshop is designed for all Oxford Early Learning Center families, regardless of the program building location. The workshop is on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Oxford Early Learning Center. This workshop is presented by OELC staff.

 

BeSMART SAFE GUN STORAGE: This workshop is for parents and caregivers of children DK-12th grade on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Oxford Community Schools Board Office- Board Room. This workshop is presented by BeSMART.

 

HOW DOES SPANISH HELP OUR YOUNGEST LEARNERS?: This workshop is designed for parents and caregivers of children DK-5th grade on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Lakeville Elementary Media Center. This workshop is presented by Oxford Community Schools elementary Spanish teachers.

MARCH PARENT UNIVERSITY WORKSHOPS FLIER 

A minimum of five people need to be registered for the workshop to be held. If a workshop needs to be canceled due to low enrollment, an email will be sent to the registrants.

Additionally, if you have any ideas regarding future workshop topics for families and children or preferred platforms to increase parent participation, please share them with us through this workshop suggestion form. We want you to feel empowered and equipped to help your child succeed in school.
